I made CC work for Tumbleweed, with successful e-newsletters, events and fundraising promotions.

The e-vite above was for a fundraising event and went to all e-mail opt-ins on Constant Contact. I aimed to promote a relaxing, breezy time in a beautiful location. 42 people signed up!

An ongoing capacity-building event, I targeted volunteers and past donors.

The goal of my newsletters for Tumbleweed was to keep it light and informative, engaging people without depressing them or pressuring them into giving.

Twitter is perfect for saluting, retweeting and generating excitement with media, professional and community organizations. I grew Tumbleweed’s account to more than 1,500 from 700 in about a year.

Love Facebook for staying in touch with your like-minded customer groups and promoting you with flair and color. For powerful photo albums and video, nothing is better. I use it for grass roots outreach and “softer” material than Twitter.
